PARENT INVOLVEMENT

PARENTS’ AND FRIENDS’ ASSOCIATION

All parents are automatically members of the Parents’ and Friends’ Association.  Parents are welcome at the monthly meetings held at the College Library (Enoggera Campus or Mitchelton Campus on alternate months) on the 2nd Wednesday evening of the month starting at 6.30pm or as published in the College Newsletter. 

Our next meeting will take place on Wednesday 18th of August at the Mitchelton College Library at 6.30pm.

Some of the main roles of the College Parents’ and Friends’ Association are:

To be a forum where parents can air their views, concerns and ideas with other parents and the College administration.

  • To form the official parents’ group that is consulted by the College administration and which sends delegates to the State Council of Parents’ and Friends’ Associations.
  • To raise funds to provide special material support for College developments.  Most of these funds are raised by the parent support levy each term, with a few social functions through the year.

NEWSLETTER

The Newsletter is the College’s major means of communication with parents.  It is published every Thursday and is either emailed to parents if requested or taken home by the student.  You can also view the newsletter online. Access via parent login Username: guest  with Password: (As previously advised).   It will keep you informed about what is happening at the College and what issues are occupying the time of staff and students.
